KINGS ON THE RUN Sport Fishing 2018 Season Forecast

We are already into the Spring weather and I’m all fired up for the 2018 Fishing Season!

2017 was a historic year for KINGS ON THE RUN Sport Fishing. We won the Great Ontario Salmon Derby, Charter Boat Division with an incredible 34.98 pound King Salmon. Congratulations to our customer Nurhan for landing the monster KING! Together we took home $13,000 in prize money and a FIRST PLACE win during week one of the GOSD!!

Toronto has World Class Fishing and those who have experienced our fishery always come back! It may be the 200 feet of line that screams out of the reel or the violent head shakes, either reason is thrilling enough to get the Salmon bug! If you are an existing customer and haven’t reserved your date as of yet, then make sure you book soon to reserve your preferred day. 2018 will be the year you don’t want to miss!

The 2018 season is approaching quickly and we are anxiously waiting to have another incredible year. My First Mate Andrew Plummer will be joining me again and I know he’s looking for a repeat! I’m pumped up that Andrew will be back from University at the end of April and will be with me during the Spring and Summer Fishing Seasons for 2018!

During the end of summer and throughout the fall of last year we encountered HUGE amounts of 3 year old fish that will mature in 2018. This healthy population and the incredible amount of baitfish located on the north shore will prove 2018 EPIC!  The shear size and number of 3 year old Salmon we landed was so impressive, all of us on the dock were talking about how amazing 2018 will be. Although 2017 was one of the best years we have seen in a long time, 2018 will be even better with the evidence witnessed last year. We are set up to have a stellar season and we are looking forward to fishing with everyone again. Whether you are an existing customer or soon to be, we will be ready.

We have several upgrades in the works for this year! The new gear will put more fish on the deck and ensure the best equipment for our customers to land the BIG fish. New rods, reels, wireless trolling speed control and new custom tackle are some of the upgrades for this season.

During April and May we will be fishing from St Catharines Marina for incredible fishing the south shore has to offer. We are already registered for the Spring Fishing Derby and the first prize for the biggest Salmon is worth $5000, every charter is entered into the derby. The Spring season is an exciting time, almost every fish in the lake heads to feed in and around the Niagara River and we are located a short ride to several Spring hot spots!

We will be back at Bluffers Park Marina at the beginning of June until October for the summer and fall seasons. 

It will be another amazing year and I can’t wait to see everyone again and meet those new friends who will experience KINGS ON THE RUN Sport Fishing for the first time!
